Isola Rossa is a seaside resort on the north cost of the island only at 50 meters distance from the sea. It is a village which belongs to the municipality of Trinita D'Agultu. The name of this village Isola Rossa means the Red Island. It tookS its name from the granite red rocks resting just off its shoreline.
Isola Rossa is originally a fishing village. Also during the summer you can see the fishermen still cast off from the harbour every morning. Over the last years were newly constructed number of hotels, summer houses, apartments and one of the Sardinia's biggest waterpar in the village. Isola Rossa has become one of the most stunning holiday destination in Sardinia. It has a strategic position thanks you can easily reach the most significant historical and archeological monuments of the gallura and the most famous touris locations as Costa Smeralda, Alghero or Santa Teresa. In the cape of the village we can find an Aragonese tower, an historical monument of Spanish invasion.

The village offers a great variety of commercial and recreational services. In the central promenade there are plenty of restaurants, pizzerias, bars, disco pubs. You can enjoy a fresh delilcious seafood in local restaurants on the promenade. During the summer months there is a rich nightlife with live music, folk concerts and cabaret outside on the square where you can enjoy fun. The main street is full of narrow small streets ywhere you can find supermarkets, boutiques and tourist shops with handicrafts ideal for evening walks. In summer months there are numerious festivals and events. You have unique chance to see the mangnificient sardinian costumes and traditional handicrafts, and also taste all local homemade products and sardinian cuisine typical for Gallura. BEACH - SPIAGGIA LONGA
The main beach of Isola Rossa is the Long beach situated just a few steps from the main promenade. The Long beach is sheltered from the wind and ideal for bathing. It is perfectly suitable for families with children who prefer a calm sea. The beach offers all services. A small part of beach is equipped for the rental of sunbeds and umbrellas. In the middle of the beach is situated Miraggio bar-restaurant. The restaurant-bar is a casual dining Sardinian fusion restaurant overlooking the sandy beach with spetacular views of the water and sunsets. The restaurant offers a combination of traditional meat and fish dishes. You can also enjoy just coffee or coctail taking it at the beach. The ambiance changes with the sunset, at night it is definitely elegant restaurant.
